Kristin Ronan, a junior at Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y., recently shadowed two nurse practioners at Geneva General Hospital to gain insight into the medical field. Kristin is a Spanish major minoring in environmental studies. âThe internship was a valuable experience to really get to know a medical mentor one-on-one,â she said. âI got the chance to ask the nurses questions regarding what they did and did not like about their profession.â A 2002 graduate of Newtown High School, Kristin is the daughter of Michael and Kathy Ronan
Todd Palo, a senior at Lafayette College in Easton, Penn., will be one of 25 students embarking to Germany and the Czech republic for a special interim course, âBerlin, Prague and Munich: The Open Wall and the New Europe of the 21st Centuryâ between December 26 and January 13. Todd, a double major in history and government and law, will be exploring Europeâs political, social, and economic changes since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
