Twelfth grader Jacqueline Talamo has been placed on the Principal’s Honor Roll at St Joseph High School in Trumbull for the first marking period of the school year.

Three Newtown residents earned academic honors at Chase Collegiate School for the fall trimester. Seventh grader Eliana Rose Kohrman-Glaser, the daughter of Drs Meyer Glaser and Katherine Kohrman, earned faculty honors, the highest academic honor attainable. Seventh grader Kevin William Dill, the son of Cindy and Jeff Dill, earned high honors. Sixth grader Emmett Dayton White, the son of Susan and Brian White, also earned high honors.

Victoria Filler, the daughter of Joyce and Michael Filler, has been inducted into the Colgate University chapter of the national scholastic honorary society of Phi Eta Sigma, which recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first year students.

David Daubenspeck of Newtown, a 1955 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College located in Lancaster, Penn., was recently inducted into the Franklin & Marshall College Nevonian Society, which honors 50-year alumni of the college. Each inductee is presented with a lapel pin bearing the emblem of the Nevonian Society.
