*The original B. WILLIE SMITH BAND will be headlining at Toad’s Place on New Year’s Eve, and tickets are on sale for this event. This is a band that hasn’t performed in New Haven in its original incarnation for more than 13 years, so people are excited about this show.

Tickets are $25, which include the show (of course), plenty of party favors, an ongoing buffet from 8 to 9:30, a champagne toast at midnight, a big screen TV airing the ball drop in Times Square, a gigantic balloon drop and continental breakfast.

The Swaggerts will be handling opening duties for this 21-and-over event.

*Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den has added a couple of shows for the new year including THE NEVILLE BROTHERS on Friday, January 13; MICKEY THOMAS (of STARSHIP) on Saturday, January 14; JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND on Sunday, January 15; CAMEO on Saturday, January 21; and THE NELSONS on Friday and Saturday, January 27-28, performing one show each night.
