Mr and Mrs Eric Pechenko
The marriage of Brook Stiewing, daughter of James and Deborah Stiewing, Newtown, and Eric Pechenko, son of Michael and JoAnn Pechenko of Bethpage, N.Y., took place on July 2. The ceremony and reception took place at the Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson. Justice of the Peace Diane Ostuni, aunt of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.
Music accompaniment was played by the brideâs cousin, Gina Ostuni, violinist.
The bride wore a custom-made gown of silk Mikado with pleated organza and was given in marriage by her father.
Her attendants included her sisters Chelsa Tomasello and Jessica Stiewing, her brother Glenn Stiewing, her brother-in-law Len Tomasello, her nephew Nicholas Tomasello and friends Julie Greene and Lauren McEvoy. The women wore Vera Wang gowns. Julie Greene wore her own design gown.
The groomâs attendants included his sister Janine Smith, his brother-in-law Keith Smith, his nephew and niece, Michael and Lauren Smith and his friends Thomas Dougherty, Thomas Meyer, Michael Miale, Michael Osicki and Scott Reardon.
The bride graduated from Marist College with a masterâs degree in educational psychology. The groom graduated from SUNY Albany and Hofstra University with a masterâs in education.
After spending two years teaching in Hawaii, on the island Kauai, the couple returned to New York. Currently Mrs Pechenko is a special education teacher in Chappaqua, N.Y., and Mr Pechenko is a history teacher in North Salem, N.Y.
After a honeymoon in the Caribbean Islands, the couple is at home in Westchester.
