Maria J. (Scosta) Pietrowski, 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of 48 years to the late Alfred V. Pietrowski, Sr, died December 20. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Scosta.
Survivors include a brother, Salvatore Scosta and his wife, Irene, of Sandy Hook; her two devoted sons, Alfred V. Pietrowski, Jr, and his wife, Joyce, of Milford and Robert Pietrowski and his wife, Patricia, of Stratford; seven grandchildren, Denise and Angela Pietrowski, Marlene Sanchez and husband, Bradley, Matthew Pietrowski, Erin Dybwad and husband, Matthew, Robert Pietrowski, Jr, and Alicia Roma and husband, Anthony; four great-grandchildren, Alexis and Amanda Roma, Hayley and Bridget Sanchez; and several nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Mrs Pietrowski was a former member of the Ladies Guild at St Catherine of Siena Church and had been on its building committee. A devoted parishioner of St Andrewâs Church, she will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 23, at 11 am in St Andrewâs Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, followed by interment at St Johnâs Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, December 22, from 5 to 8 pm, in the Commerce Hill-Radozycki Funeral Home, 4798 Main St, Bridgeport.
