David B. Schenzer, 32, of New Fairfield died unexpectedly December 18.
Mr Schenzer was born in Danbury on July 11, 1973, a son of Daniel and Barbara (Myers) Schenzer of Sandy Hook. He was raised in Sandy Hook and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1991.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Daniel H. Schenzer of Quincy, Mass., and Scott R. Schenzer of Charlotte, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy R. Myers of Sandy Hook; and an uncle, Gary Schenzer and his wife, Mary, of New Milford.
While a member of Boy Scout Troop #770, Mr Schenzer earned the Eagle Scout Award. He was a member of the Newtown Congregational Church. He was a graduate with highest honors of the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University. Mr Schenzer was employed as principal accounting advisor for IBM in Armonk, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held 10 am, Friday, December 23, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St, Newtown. Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery. Calling hours at the Honan Funeral Home were scheduled for Thursday, December 22, from 5 to 8 pm.
