Samuel H. “Sam” Scott, Jr, age 85, of Paris, Tenn., died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at AHC of Paris.

He retired after 30 plus years from the State of Connecticut DOT as a mechanic. A lifelong resident of Newtown, Sam retired to Tennessee last year.

He served in the US Army Reserves and enjoyed Ford trucks.

Sam was born March 11, 1938, in Botsford, to the late Samuel H. Scott, Sr, and the late Helen Sedor Scott.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (Thomas) Heneghan of Paris, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Slocum; and one brother, George Scott.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home of Paris, Tenn. There are no public services planned.
