Newtown United Methodist Church will have two Christmas Eve services this year, at 4 and 8 pm.

The listing in last week’s Worship Services had an incorrect time for the second service.

The church, at 92 Church Hill Road, will offer a Family Service at 4 pm and Lessons & Carols with Communion at 8.

The first service will be an informal time of worship with the Christmas story, carols, and a special Candy Cane sermon. It will end with attendees singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.

The second will offer the sharing of Christmas scripture and carols, and the chance to celebrate Holy Communion. The choir will sing and the service will also conclude with everyone singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.
