Thank You For All The Hometown Love!
To the Editor,
Having returned last week from our time performing on NBC’s The Voice we wish to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to all our friends, family, and neighbors here in the Newtown area. Their enthusiastic support week after week was simply extraordinary.
To see hundreds of friends gathered at Edmond Town Hall, cheering us on, as we stood on stage moments before going live with “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” was incredibly joyful for us.
Our thanks to Jennifer Guman, Manager of Edmond Town Hall, and to all who attended or made possible those two watch parties. We went so much further on the show than we ever expected, and every week hundreds of messages from our hometown community via text and social media always lifted our hearts.
There is simply no way we can adequately express our thanks. We are still catching up on the many wonderful articles written by Alissa Silber of The Newtown Bee — and we wish to thank her and everyone at The Bee.
The months we spent as part of The Voice, performing for millions and eventually reaching the Top Eight, was the adventure of a lifetime for us. As an added benefit, our story also touched many lives. For this, and for our community, we are profoundly grateful.
