The NWS advisory is calling for freezing rain, which will result "in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, including during the evening commute. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected."
The advisory additionally says the precipitation will "likely start as light snow and sleet toward midday, before transitioning to light freezing rain by evening. A few tenths of an inch of snow and sleet accumulation are possible before the transition to freezing rain."
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
