Newtown Savings Bank Names New Trustee, Corporators

Newtown Savings Bank recently announced that Brian C. White of Newtown was elected to its Board of Trustees. Mr White, a CPA, has served as a corporator of the bank since 2001, and is a partner at Studley, White & Associates, PC, of Danbury.

He is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CSCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and will serve on the trustees’ Loan and Investment Committees. Mr White is active in local organizations, including Chase Collegiate School, where he serves on the Finance Committee.

At the same meeting, three additional Newtown residents were sworn in as new corporators. Anthony W. Cirone, Jr, also a CPA and member the CSCPA and AICPA, is a partner at Equale & Cirone, LLP, and is active with St Rose of Lima Church.

Daniel Cruson, an author and retired high school teacher, who serves as Newtown’s town historian, is active in many local organizations dedicated to the research and preservation of local history.

James Gulalo, owner of Preferred Insurance Services LLC in Newtown, has been involved in a number of local business ventures over the years and is active with Newtown Rotary, including having served as president.

The bank’s corporators represent the public’s interest in Newtown Savings Bank and are responsible for electing trustees. John J. Martocci, chairman & CEO of Newtown Savings Bank, welcomed the bank’s new trustee and three new corporators.

“They bring a diverse level of expertise and background that will assist management in guiding our future while preserving the bank’s independence and commitment to the communities we serve,” Mr Martocci said.
