Clarification

An article that appeared in last week’s Newtown Bee on the Charter Revision Commission’s proposal to maintain or reduce the length of terms for several town elected boards including the Board of Education never clarified the current terms of service for numerous town officials. Currently the Edmond Town Hall Managers are elected to six-year terms, while the Judge of Probate, the Registrars of Voters, and representatives on the Board of Education, Planning and Zoning, Assessment Appeals, Police Commission, and the Zoning Board of Appeals all serve four-year terms.
