Child’s Purse Among Found Items

The latest item added to the police department’s found-goods inventory is an accessory stemming from a character in children’s stories based on Winnie The Pooh.

Police said that on December 15 an orange-colored child’s purse based on the character Tigger was found at the Big Y supermarket parking lot at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street.

Also, being held in the found-goods inventory are a set of keys with a key chain found December 6 at the southern parking lot of the town offices at 31 Peck’s Lane; a silver-colored cane found November 22 at the Super Stop & Shop supermarket parking lot at Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street, and an adult Trek Alpha mountain bike found November 16 along Walnut Tree Hill Road.

Police Sergeant Darlene Froehlich asks that the items’ owners contact her at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 426-5841, to claim the found items.
