Carmel (Vallette) Melillo, 71, of Monroe, died at home on December 16.

Mrs Melillo was born and raised in Port Chester, N.Y., and raised her family in Greenwich. She was the daughter of Leonard and Madeline Vallette, and is survived by her sons, Ron Melillo of Newtown, Stephen Melillo of Smithfield, Va., Mark Melillo of Wilton, and Nick Melillo of Tappahannock, Va. She had six grandsons and two granddaughters.

A Mass was held at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, N.Y., December 20. Entombment took place at St Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook, N.Y.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the St Jude’s Children Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis TN 38101.
