Families United in Newtown (FUN) hosted their annual holiday event on Saturday December 7, at Newtown High School. Over 130 attendees enjoyed an evening filled with holiday cheer including a Santa Basketball Free Throw challenge, dancing, limbo, musical chairs, singing, face painting, crafting, and more dancing. Clown “Pepper” and her friends led the fun-filled evening for the 10th year of providing holiday entertainment for the group. Participants enjoyed pizza and dessert as well as a little karaoke fun with some of the FUN members. Over 30 Newtown National Honor Society and other student and adult volunteers helped mentor and support the children, teens, and adults with special needs to ensure a safe and engaging night focused on an uplifting, social, and emotional holiday experience.
