Boys' Basketball Team Rallies To Beat Crosby

Newtown High School's boys' basketball team overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat host Crosby of Waterbury 79-74 in the season opener, on December 21.
Max Bloomquist led the way with 27 points. Jack Petersen scored 17 and Jack Kuligowski had ten.
Tyson Mobley, Preston Bliss-Martinez, and Jack Mulligan all scored six, and Joe McCray added five.
Bloomquist and Petersen both made a trip of 3-pointers, and Bliss-Martinez an Kuligowski each had a pair of Newtown's 11 shots from downtown.
Kuligowski had six of Newtown's 18 steals. Bloomquist and Jack Mulligan both had three steals.
