Twenty-six luminaria bags were placed on the Fairfield Hills campus sign on Friday, December 14, and lit around dusk. Each bag represented one of the educators or one of the children killed six years earlier on 12/14.

It was a quiet observance on a day that also saw a number of the town's houses of worship open their doors for quiet prayer and meditation, extended hours at The Resiliency Center of Newtown, and an interfaith service of remembrance.
