Robert C. Marus, 61, of Bridgeport died December 14 at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the beloved son of Dorothy Davis Marus of Bridgeport and the late Joseph A. Marus. He lived for many years in Newtown, returning recently to Bridgeport to care for his mother.

He attended Bullard Havens Tech School, studied carpentry, and rose to the level of a master carpenter. Mr Marus owned North Atlantic Construction, Inc with his brother Joseph.

In addition to his beloved mother, his son, Cody Marus of Monroe; his siblings and their spouses, Joseph and Elaine Marus of Milford, John and Adriane Marus of Trumbull, Susan and Stephen Voccola of Milford, and Sharon and Richard DeRiso of Shelton; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Gary Skiffington, survive Mr Marus. He also leaves behind his cherished dog. In addition to his father, his son Robert “RJ” Marus predeceased him.

All who knew Mr Marus loved to listen to his entertaining stories about his life’s adventures, and there were many to tell. He lived life to its fullest and touched everyone he met. Even though he endured many struggles along the way, he always managed to make you feel better.

Friends may greet the family on Monday, December 21, from 4 to 7 pm, at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Interment will be private.
