Saturday Morning Bird Walk

DERBY — Anyone who enjoys watching birds is invited to join volunteer Maria Stockmal for a relaxing Saturday morning walk in search of local birds at the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP’s) Kellogg Environmental Center. Participants can experience the joy of observing birds in the wild, sharpen their bird identification skills, or just enjoy a Saturday morning hike through the grounds of the Kellogg Environmental Center and Osbornedale State Park.

The walk is scheduled for Saturday, December 29. It will begin at 9 am and last up to two hours, depending on conditions.

Plan to meet in the lobby of the Kellogg Environmental Center at 500 Hawthorne Avenue (off Route 34).

All levels of birders are welcome.
