DUI Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for her arrest, Ashley Defillippo, 22, of Ansonia went to the police station on the morning of December 20, and was charged with driving under the influence and with making an unsafe movement.

Police said the charges stem from a motor vehicle accident that occurred October 13 at the intersection of Wasserman Way and the Exit 11 off-ramp of Interstate 84.

After processing, police released Defillippo on a written promise to appear in court on January 8.

Sandy Hook Crash

Police said motorist Patti Roberts, 44, of New Haven was driving a 2007 Nissan Versa eastward near 275 Berkshire Road about 7:30 am December 8, when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road and then hit a gaurdrail, a mailbox and two trees.

Ambulance volunteers then transported Roberts to Danbury Hospital to be medically evaluated, police said. The accident is under investigation.
