Next Roots Music Coffeehouse
DANBURY âAward winning songsmith Arlon Bennett will be performing for the first time at the Roots Music Coffeehouse on January 12. The event will start at 8 pm with an open mic, before Mr Bennett brings his warm stage presence and compelling songs for a fun and engaging show, highlighting songs from his latest CD, Summerâs Voice.
Roots Music Coffeehouse performances are at the Common Ground Annex dance studio, at 345 Main Street in the space formerly occupied by CityCenter Dance Factory. Suggested donation is $10 in advance through an online reservation (visit RootsMusicCoffeeHouse.com) or $12 at the door.
Mr Bennett has performed nationally and been lauded by Noel Stookey (Paul from Peter, Paul and Mary) who has chosen him twice to perform in his Music-to-Life concert at the Kerrville Folk Festival. His song âBe the Changeâ reached #8 on acoustic radio charts, and is being used in schools around the country. Additionally, the New York Mets chose the title track to be featured in a video tribute to Hall of fame sportscaster Bob Murphy.
