Twas the Friday before Christmas when all through the town not a creature was stirring… except for more than 50 people dressed as Santa Claus, elves, and a snowman running through the streets for the Fourth Annual Santa Hook Run on December 20.

The holiday hoopla is a fundraiser benefiting FAITH Food Pantry and is hosted by Running For Dylan, a group which honors first grader Dylan Hockley, who passed away on 12/14.

This year, the merry crew began their trek at Reverie Brewing Company then traveled up Church Hill Road.

With temperatures below freezing, the runners maneuvered through icy patches of sidewalk as they swiftly reached the top of Main Street.

After stopping traffic at the flagpole for a brief photo op, the festive bunch made their way down Main Street to Farmhouse Restaurant.

Once the members were refueled, they scheduled a conga at Caraluzzi’s before selecting their next “Choose-your-Happy-Hour-bar-stop” at My Place, Barnwood, Market Place, or Toro.

Then, as is tradition for the group, the Santa Hook Run planned to conclude with its customary nightcap at Cover Two in Sandy Hook Center.
