PORTLAND, MAINE — The Portland Museum of Art will present the Bernard A. Osher Lecture series with Adam Gopnik on Monday, January 28, at 6:30 pm, at the Holiday Inn By The Bay.

The lecture series brings internationally recognized artists and scholars to Portland to share their insights and expertise.

As writer for The New Yorker since 1985 and best selling author, Gopnik is known as one of the most charming and witty interpreters of culture in writing today. Known for his best selling book Paris to the Moon, as well as others, this writer will share his insights into life and art. His work has been honored with three National Magazine Awards for Essay and Criticism and a George Polk Award for Magazine Reporting.

The evening will conclude with an open question and answer session. Gopnik will be available for a book signing immediately following the lecture.
