William Wlcek

William Wlcek, 63, retired senior vice president of the NASDAQ stock market, died December 18 at his home in Cape Coral, Fla.

Mr Wlcek was the husband of Ronnie Wlcek and lived on Parmalee Hill Road in Newtown for several years until moving to Cape Coral in 1999.

He was born in Bronx, N.Y., March 18, 1937, son of the late Martin and Mary (Bartel) Wlcek.

Mr Wlcek was associated with the NASDAQ Stock Market for 17 years until retirement in 1999.

Mr Wlcek is survived, besides his wife, by two sons, William Wlcek, Jr, of Larchmont, N.Y., and Jimmy Wlcek and his wife, Susan, of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Lauren and her husband, Jim DeLong, of Houston, Tex., Claudia Wlcek of Houston, Tex., and Aimee Wlcek of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Martin, John, and Joseph Wlcek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, on Saturday, December 23, at 9 am. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Friday, December 22, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
