Janet Michale Vitello, 73, of Newtown, died December 14. She was born in Bridgeport, November 7, 1940, to Julia (Sagarena) Vitello and Michael Vitello.

She received a master's degree in education from the University of Bridgeport, and was a teacher in the Bridgeport School system until her retirement.

Her loves were photography, mystery books, and collecting lighthouses.

A gravesite interment service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, Monday, December 23, at 11 am. The arrangements were made with the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
