Study the memorable characters, gripping plots, detailed settings, and moral questions put forth in some of the most beloved 19th and 20th Century classics during this winterâs âGreat Fireside Reads,â sponsored by the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library and the Connecticut Humanities Council, four Tuesdays in January, February, March, and April, at 7:30 pm, in the third floor antiques room of the library.
The four-part reading and book discussion of Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, January 13; Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, February 24; The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton, March 17; and A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving will be led by Julie Stern.
