David Tokarski and Megan Steuer

Megan Steuer and David Tokarski, both former Newtown residents, were married by the Monsignor Bob Weiss at St Rose of Lima Church on October 11, 2008. A reception followed at The Waterview in Monroe.

Megan is a daughter of John and Susan Steuer of Newtown. She was given into marriage by her father.

Her sister, Michelle Steuer, also of Newtown, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Eileen Gorman of East Northport, N.Y.; Katie O’Reilly of Rutherford, N.J.; and Meg Ryan of Rochester, N.Y.

David is a son of Paul and Agnes Tokarski of Newtown. His best man was Brian Tokarski of Providence, R.I., and his ushers were Aaron Matthew of Naugatuck, James White of Tolland, and Andrew O’Reilly of Rutherford, N.J.

Megan and David are both 2003 graduates of Newtown High School. She continued her education at Villanova University, first earning her bachelor’s in political science in 2007 and then her master’s the following year. Megan is employed by Achievement First in New Haven.

David graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007 with a bachelor’s of economics. He is employed by Cartus in Danbury.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple returned to their home in Seymour.
