MOUNTAIN TOY, RAILROAD CLUB TO HOST SHOW JAN. 6 IN HUDSON, N.Y.

HUDSON, N.Y. â The Mountain Toy & Railroad Club will hold its New Year Toy & Train show on Sunday, January 6 at the American Legion Post, 7 Fairview Avenue, from 9 am to 2 pm.
This show will be the first train show in this area for the 2008 season. Most of the regular dealers will be back. Among the returning dealers will be George Tebolt of Spencertown, N.Y., with new Lionel pre and postwar replacement parts. George Washburn will also be there with antique toys and trains, and Greg Zabrowski of Kingston, N.Y., will have American Flyer and Lionel tin prewar trains restored in like-new condition.
This show will feature approximately 50 dealers from the tristate area selling all makes, ages and gauges of toy trains including N, HO, O scale, Lionel O, 0-27 and Standard, LGB and American Flyer S gauge. There will be plenty of collectible die cast toy trucks, cars, vintage toys from the 1920s and 1930s. Locomotives, rolling stock, passenger cars, replacement parts, track, transformers and accessories for each of the popular gauges will also be available. The show will also have its famous train doctor and test track for those who need help in getting their old trains running again.
The Boy Scouts of America Troop 102 of the American Legion post will again sell refreshments and help vendors unload their wares if assistance is needed. They use this opportunity as a fundraiser and also it counts toward their merit badges.
Free appraisals will be available at the show for anyone with an old toy or train whether or not one wishes to sell.
General admission is $3, and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
