Maguire Staff Receives Certification

David Butz and Mark Mitchell, employees of J.P. Maguire Associates, a residential and industrial disaster cleaning and restoration company headquartered in Newtown, have both received IICRC certification for water damage restoration technicians from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration.

In addition, both have successfully completed the DriZone training in structural drying from the Center for Advanced Restorative Drying located in Burlington, Wash. The five-day course takes trainees through an intensive, hands-on drying of a thoroughly flooded training structure that includes almost every type of building material imaginable including plaster, concrete, lumber, laminates, hardwood, vinyl and tile flooring, and furniture. “This process is extremely efficient, sanitary, and thorough,” Mr Mitchell said. “Training for the DriZone process underscores J.P. Maguire’s commitment to state-of-the-art disaster cleanup and restoration.”

J.P. Maguire Associates recently entered the disaster restoration cleaning market with a large investment in fleet, equipment, and personnel. Most recently joining the company team is Mark Huberman of Ridgefield, whose experience with OSHA, CARF, JHACO, and other federal agencies, plus his successful sales background, positions J.P. Maguire for fast growth in the disaster restoration field.
