Hatha Yoga For Beginners
Hatha Yoga
 For Beginners
Instructors from Woodbury Yoga Center will be leading âHatha Yoga for Beginnersâ at two area locations beginning in January.
Hatha Yoga is a series of gentle stretching exercises designed to strengthen, relax, and revitalize the body, mind, and spirit. Instructors will lead a series of exercises, teach correct breathing, and guide relaxation techniques, all to assist in the process of untangling the myriad of knots stored within each studentâs physical and emotional being.
Hatha yoga tunes the glandular and nervous systems, limbers the spine, increases circulation, and tones internal muscles and organs. Students should leave classes feeling relaxed, refreshed, and revitalized.
There will be two separate series of classes being offered at Waterbury Hospital. The first seven weeks series will be on Saturdays, January 6 through February 17, meeting each week 9:30 to 11 am with instructor Nanci Bennington. The second series will be held on Tuesdays, January 9 through February 20, from 6 to 7:30 pm each week, with instructor Hilda Brehm.
A seven-week course will also be offered at Brookfield Library, with instructor Laura Forcade. The Brookfield classes will be held on Tuesdays, January 2 through February 13, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The fee for each series is $85. Contact Woodbury Yoga Center at 203/263-2254 or www.woodburyyogacenter.com for registration or further information.
