Students under the direction of Newtown High School Art Portfolio teacher Carol Skolas worked on Friday, December 12, at C.H. Booth Library to prepare for an exhibit.

The artwork, entirely created by the NHS students, went on display at the town library, 25 Main Street, on Saturday, December 13, and will remain on view for the public in The Olga Knoepke Memorial Meeting Room until Friday, December 19.

A formal reception for the exhibit was scheduled for the night before the artwork is set to come down, on Thursday, December 18, from 4 to 6 pm.

Students who created artwork for the display are Baxter Hankin, Haley Kean, Emily Radatovich, Helena Reznikoff, Jessie Sailer, Rachel Saint, and Michael Triantafilidis.

The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am to 8 pm; Friday, 11 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 9:30 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, noon to 5 pm. The NHS Art Portfolio collection can be viewed any time the library is open, when the meeting room is not in use.

Emily Radatovich, one of the seven NHS Art Portfolio students who had artwork on display at C.H. Booth Library for the last week, worked to hang one of her works on Friday, December 12.
Newtown High School Art Portfolio student Helena Reznikoff organized her artwork at C.H. Booth Library before hanging it for display in an art show.
