Lighting Up Sandy Hook

To the Editor:

I wanted to take a moment during this busy time to thank all the friends and neighbors who came out and helped celebrate the holiday season at the Sandy Hook Center Tree Lighting. It was wonderful to see so many people sharing the festivities!

I also want to thank the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Company and Anthony Cappoziello for making the tree lighting possible and for lighting the way to make the event that much safer for all the pedestrians. Thank you to the Newtown Middle School Chorus and Mr Pope for Christmas caroling. Best wishes to Mary Fellows for helping us continue this wonderful tradition she has been such a champion of. And many thanks to all the local merchants that contributed to make the event a success, including The Graceful Planet, Katherine’s Kitchen, Sandy Hook Hair Co., Sabrina Style, and all the other merchants that offered specials and stayed open late.

The spirit of the season was in the air! Happy Holidays to all.
