Adopt A Cat From The Animal Center

The following cats and kittens are available for adoption from The Animal Center:

CUPID is an orange and white long haired mom with four kittens. Cupid and her kittens into The Animal Center program when their time had run out at another shelter. Cupid is friendly, up to date on vaccines and will be spayed as soon as her kittens are weaned. 

VIXEN is a 10 week old domestic long haired female with bright green eyes and a sweet personality. She is healthy, spayed and current on vaccines. 

COMET is a playful, friendly, and loving 8 month old tuxedo female. She is healthy, spayed and current on vaccines. 

RUDOLPH is a 9 week old, black and white cutie with a great personality and lots of love to give. He is healthy, neutered and current on vaccines. 

CHLOE may be 13 years old, but she is still a kitten at heart. She’s playful, purry and very affectionate. Chloe adores being petted and is a loving lap cat. She also enjoys being held and cuddled. Chloe is spayed, healthy and current on vaccines.

MARTIN was found living outside and frightened when taken in by The Animal Center but he is quickly learning that having food and shelter and a little love from humans isn’t so bad after all. Martin is healthy, current on vaccines and neutered.

Good news: Patches, Cheech, Juliet, Boom Boom, and Kringle have all been adopted.

Saturday Double Header At Your Healthy Pet

The Animal Center will be holding its final Home for the Holidays Adoption event at Your Healthy Pet, 224 South Main Street, on Saturday, December 19 from 1-3 pm. This day only, adoption fees for adult cats over 1 year will be waived. The Newtown book signing event for “Cat Tales: True Love Stories” by Dr. Sharon Eisen and Linda Francese of The Complete Cat in Brookfield will also be taking place at Your Healthy Pet on Saturday from 1 to 4 pm. These books make great holiday gifts and a portion of all sales during this event will be donated to The Animal Center. 

The Animal Center is a Newtown-based, non-profit animal welfare charity. The Animal Center feline programs provide rescue, rehabilitation, spay/neuter, and adoption services for homeless cats and kittens in the community. The Animal Center partners with other rescue groups as well as veterinary offices to save cats who might otherwise be euthanized. The Animal Center is a 501 (c)3 publicly-supported charity, helps approximately 250 cats a year, and relies heavily on the support of the public and generous volunteers.
