The Grinch Is In Newtown

To the Editor:

On Saturday, December 11, I went with my wife and two children to find the perfect Christmas tree. We went to several cut-your-own tree farms until we found the perfect tree. We cut it down, taking pictures the whole time. It was a wonderful day. That is until my wife had to go out to get some medicine for my son. I thought nothing of leaving the tree in the back of my pickup truck, my big mistake.

Some absolute lowlife stole the tree in the CVS parking lot. I would like to say that I hope the tree catches fire and burns down their house, but I’m going to take the high road, and just say to them: “Why take a $30 tree that meant so much to a family?” and “Why ruin our Christmas?” I also don’t understand how you can wake up Christmas morning and look upon a stolen tree. I guess the spirit of Christmas is really gone in some people.
