Marian Bernstein Jame

Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Marian Bernstein Jame, 85, of Tamarac, Fla., and former longtime resident of Danbury, died December 13, at Masonicare of Newtown. She was born October 31, 1925, in Danzig, Poland.

She is survived by three children, including Dr Jeffrey Bernstein, and his wife Karla, of Newtown, Robert and Judi of Tampa, Fla., and Shelley and Jeff Cooper of Calabasas, Calif.; a stepson, Mark Jame of Goldens Bridge, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren: and four step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard Bernstein, and by her second husband, Jerome Jame.

Mrs Jame graduated from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists. She was a dental hygienist in the Danbury area for 35 years for Dr Jack Buchman, Dr Michael Rifkin, and her son, Dr Jeffrey Bernstein, until her retirement.

She had many hobbies, but her favorite was tending to her flowers and gardening. She also loved flower arranging, sculpture, painting, and decorating.

She was a former member of the United Jewish Center and served on its board of trustees. She volunteered for many years at Coral Springs Hospital in Florida.

The funeral took place December 16, at the United Jewish Center, Danbury, with Rabbi Clifford Librach and Cantor Penny Kessler officiating. Interment followed in Miry Brook Cemetery, Danbury.
