At about 5:34 pm on December 13, motorist Lawrence Passaro, 62, of 10 Flat Swamp Road was driving a 2004 Honda sedan on eastbound Church Hill Road in the right-turn-only lane for the Exit 10 on-ramp of eastbound of Interstate 84, police said.
Motorist Maureen Jordan, 65, of Wilkes-Barre, Penn., who was driving a 2005 Ford sedan westward on Church Hill Road, was signaling to make a left turn into the driveway for the Blue Colony Diner at 66 Church Hill Road, police said.
A noncontact vehicle then stopped in eastbound Church Hill Roadâs straight-ahead lane, after which the Ford attempted to make the left turn but collided with the Honda, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Jordan for failure to grant the right of way.
Still Hill Road
Motorist Robert Abric, 39, of 37 Berkshire Road was driving a 2004 Jeep SUV westward on Still Hill Road about 10:17 am on December 10, when the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree, police report.
Abric was not injured. Police issued Abric an infraction for making a restricted turn.
Sandy Hook Accident
At about 3:34 pm on December 10, motorist Shannon McCarthy, 18, of 11 Clapboard Ridge Road, who was driving a 2005 Subaru sedan, was making a right turn from Bennetts Bridge Road onto Berkshire Road, when she lost control of the vehicle and it spun around, went off the right shoulder of Berkshire Road and struck some trees, police said.
McCarthy was not injured. Police issued her a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Guy Wire
Motorist Lif Torrejon, 26, of Bridgeport was driving a 2001 Nissan Maxima sedan westward on Cedar Hill Road and was approaching its intersection with Brushy Hill Road at about 4 am on December 12, when she attempted to stop for a stop sign, but the auto skidded on some ice and went across the intersection, striking a guy wire for a utility pole, police said.
Torrejon was not injured. Police verbally warned her for traveling too fast for conditions.
Church Hill Crash
About 5:43 pm on December 14, motorist Robert Silvaggi, 63, of Brookfield was driving a 2008 Chrysler sedan eastward on Church Hill Road, police said.
At that time, motorist Scott Lametto, 44, of 49 Mile Hill Road South, who was driving a 2007 Nissan station wagon, was attempting to exit a driveway at 19 Church Hill Road to turn left to head eastward on Church Hill Road, police said.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries.
Police said they issued Lametto a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
