Zoel T.              Pellerin
Zoel Thadde Pellerin, formerly of Germantown Road, Danbury, died on December 12 at Griffin Hospital in Derby, just three weeks prior to his 102nd birthday.
Mr Pellerin was born on January 8, 1903, in Canada, son of the late Thadde and Emilie (Cormier) Pellerin.
Zoel will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Lucille McNease of Newtown, Rita Veilleux of Biddeford, Maine, and Doris Reed Burdo and her husband Frank of Shelton; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Zoel is preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Gabrielle Veilleux.
In 1922 Zoel came to the United States, living in Massachusetts and later Hartford before settling in the Danbury area in 1929. He later married Diana Godbout and they spent many years of loving marriage together.
Mr Pellerin worked most of his life as a barber, owning his own shop in the Bethel area for 20 years before retiring, and continued to work part-time until the age of 66. He was a member of the Barberâs Union for 45 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on December 16 at St Gregory the Great Church in Danbury, where was a parishioner. Interment was in St Peter Cemetery.
The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
