Poetry Series Planning For The New Year

BETHEL — The Wednesday Night Poetry Series at Bethel Arts Junction will take a two-week hiatus this month, with no readings scheduled for the weeks of December 22 and 29.

When the series resumes on January 5, organizers – Faith Vicinanza and Michael Seri, both of Newtown – will host a one-hour writing workshop and a welcome back open mic. All area poetry writers are welcome.

The series meets weekly at the art gallery, at 5 Depot Place in the old Bethel railroad station. An open mic usually runs from 7:30 until 8:30; a featured poet reads for the next 45 minutes or so; and the evenings conclude with poetry workshops. The regular schedule will resume on January 12.
