Newtown Saving Bank Tour

Brownie Scout Troop 749 of the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut recently visited the Newtown Savings Bank on Main Street. The troop enjoyed learning how to open a savings account for college, how to detect counterfeit money, and how to deal with fraudulent checks. The highlight of the trip was a tour of the bank’s new offices and the fabulous gingerbread bank displayed in the bank’s main lobby. The girls were awarded the Penny Power Try-it badge at the end of their visit.
