Homeless Shelter Gets Tech Center

DANBURY — The Verizon Foundation has made a grant to create a Technology Resource Center for Harmony House, a homeless shelter for women and children in Danbury.  The technology center will allow residents of the homeless shelter to create resumes, perform job searches, apply for training programs, and connect to the general community.

The shelter is run by Family and Children’s Aid, Inc, a Danbury-based nonprofit organization that offers services to heal and support children, families, and individuals in their time of need. To help, or learn more about these programs, contact the organization at 75 West Street by calling 748-5689.
