VISUAL MUSIC AT MOCA

LOS ANGELES — “Visual Music,” shown at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Grand Avenue, February 13–May 22, surveys the charged and profoundly generative relationship between art and music over the last 100 years.

Co-organized by MOCA and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C., the exhibit will feature masterpieces of modern and contemporary art. “Visual Music” offers, for the first time in the United States, a chronological exhibition of the relationship between abstraction, color and music forms as varied as classical, jazz, rock and electronic.

MINEO MIZUNO IN LONG BEACH

LONG BEACH, CALIF. — The Long Beach Museum of Art will feature “Crossing Boundaries: The Ceramic Sculpture of Mineo Mizuno,” November 18, 2005–January 15, 2006.
