Alice Elizabeth Williams

Alice Elizabeth Williams, 86, of Radcliff, Ky., formerly of Danbury, died December 8 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky.

Alice was born in New York City, March 18, 1918, daughter of the late John and Metta (Theede) Jardine.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carole A. and Stephen Kilcran of Radcliff, Ky.; four grandchildren, Samantha Williams and Spencer Williams, both of Sandy Hook; Dana Marie Kilcran of Nashville, Tenn; Steven C. Kilcran and his wife Elizabeth of Louisville, Ky.; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Kilcran of Louisville, Ky.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joseph W. Williams, she was predeceased by her son, Joseph J. Williams, in 2003.

She grew up in New York before moving to Danbury. She worked in City Hall as secretary for Civil Defense for more than 26 years. She was very involved in the community, active with the Campfire Girls, the St Peter Ladies’ Guild, and the Professional Women’s Club. Alice moved to Kentucky in 1989, where she was a member of St Christopher Catholic Church in Radcliff and was a Kentucky Colonel.

A Mass of Christian burial took place on Monday at St Peter Church. Burial followed in St Peter Cemetery.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Stroke Association National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas TX 75231.

Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
