A Wish Fulfilled

To the Editor:

Jim Osborne, a former longtime member of the Board of Trustees at the Newtown Meeting House, said many times that he would really like to see the 50-foot evergreen at the rear of the Meeting House lighted for the holidays. That wish is now a reality.

With the assistance of Stan Perrone/Kesco Electric and Rob McCullough/Newtown Tree Service, the tree was lighted, in memory of Jim, on Friday, December 3, and will continue to add to the beauty of Newtown throughout this holiday season and those to come.

We are indebted to Newtown Hook and Ladder Company for hanging the five-foot wreath over the front door. As always, Garry Ober/Burr Farm made the wreath and filled our curbside barrels with seasonal greens.
