Tech Council Touts Cellphone, PDA Renewal Program

EAST HARTFORD — Now businesses can get paid to responsibly renew company second hand cellphones, BlackBerries and personal digital assistants (PDAs).

The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) is offering an electronics recycling program designed for member companies and others of the Connecticut technology community. Participating companies and/or employees can recycle their cellphones with CorporateRenew. This CTC partner and New Haven company simplifies the recycling of old phones while simultaneously rewarding those who take the initiative to redirect their electronic waste.

To sell back old company cellphones and PDAs, go to corporaterenew.com and click Get Info Now and follow the prompts.

Assuming good condition, pricing examples include:

*BlackBerry World Edition 8330: $26 per device;

*BlackBerry Curve 8330: $68 per device; and

*Samsung i760: $44 per device
