Police Plan Food Collection For The Needy

Town police have scheduled a holiday food collection project for the needy for 9 am to noon on Saturday, December 17, in front of the Big Y supermarket at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street.

The project is known as “Stuff a Police Cruiser with Food.”

Police said that the food collected at the event will be distributed to the needy through local food pantries.
