Mildred H. Breuel, 89, of Danbury, died December 9 in Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert A. Breuel, Jr.

Mrs Breuel is survived by her four children, Dale E. O’Brien of Newtown, Albert A. Breuel of Springfield, Va., Maureen Bohning of  Cos Cob, and Thomas A. Breuel of Danbury. In addition to her children, Mrs Breuel is survived by her grandchildren, Michael S. O’Gorman of Newtown, Margaret Sniegon of Cincinnati, Ohio, John Breuel of Springfield, Va., Brian O’Gorman of Greenwich. and Thomas A. Breuel of Brookfield. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Shannon O’Gorman of Newtown, Michael and Andrew Sniegon of Cincinnati, Devyn O’Gorman of Greenwich, and Jackson Breuel of Brookfield.

She was born in New York City on May 31, 1916, a daughter of Harry and Helen (Carney) Hagstrand. She lived with her family for 30 years in Old Greenwich. Mrs Breuel was a resident of Danbury for 28 years.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved listening to her stories about her family and of growing up in Manhattan. Her family will miss her outgoing personality, sense of humor, and love.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Goshen.
