Irene A. (Sterback) Palo, 81, beloved wife of John J. Palo of Trumbull, died December 11 after a short illness at St Vincentâs Medical Center, with her family at her side. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Salamon Sterback.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Richard T. Palo and his wife, Beverly M., of Newtown, and David C. Palo and his wife, Mary Beth, of Greenlawn, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Todd, Kyle, Merideth, Grace, and Bret Palo; and also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs Palo attended local schools and was employed for more than 20 years by General Electric. She also was a sales representative for Kayâs Home Furnishings. Mrs Palo was a communicant of the former St John Nep Church and a member of the Guild of Our Lady of Fatima of St Johnâs Holy Trinity Slovak Plavecky Society, and was also active in Trumbull PTA.
Funeral services were held on December 15 in the Church of Christ the King, Trumbull, with a Mass of Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
