Drug Charge Follows Heroin Incident
Police said they received a call for help concerning a man who had apparently overdosed on heroin about 5:50 am December 10 at 216 South Main Street.
Police said that on arriving there, they found William Kundert, III, 22, of that address, unconscious and unresponsive. Treatment by the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps revived Kundert, police said.
Kundert was then transported to the Danbury Hospital emergency room for medical treatment, police report. After treatment, Kundert was released from the hospital.
Kundert was then transported to the police station, where he was charged with possession of narcotics (heroin) for having possessed a small amount of heroin, police said.
Kundert was released on written promise to appear December 28 in Danbury Superior Court for arraignment on the drug charge.
