Christmas Vacation Workshops At Flanders

WOODBURY — Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust is offering three days of holiday workshops for children 3 to 8 years of age on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 27-29. The programs will run each day from 1 to 3 pm at the Trail House.

Those interested can register for one or all three days of programs. The fee for each day’s class is $12.

Tuesday’s topic will be “Winter Tracks,” where children will make plaster casts of animal and bird tracks they will discover along the Trails of Flanders.

Wednesday’s class will be about nature and “Winter Survival,” and on Thursday, “Birds In Winter” will be the topic.

Each day, children will be creating a craft, hiking through the woods and trails of Flanders, learning something new, and doing something different and adventurous, all nature-related, and all geared to a child’s level of learning.

If there is snow, kids can bring their sleds along as there are great hills at the nature preserve.
