Bus Vs Truck
Police report an accident involving a bus and a truck about 1 pm December 12 near 48 Mile Hill Road South.
Bus driver Karl Petersen, 52, of Danbury was driving a HART bus, which was carrying two elderly passengers from Nunnawauk Meadows, northward on Mile Hill Road South, police said.
At that time, Anthony Capozziello, 29, of 18 Sunnyview Terrace was driving a town-owned 2005 Ford F-350 flatbed truck southward on Mile Hill Road South, police said.
Due to a restricted roadway width, as the two vehicles passed one another, their exterior left rear-view mirrors collided, police said.
There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
Truck Vs Car
A freight truck and an auto collided at the intersection of Hanover Road and Hall Lane about 9:20 am December 12.
Trucker Barry McGuire, 58, of New Milford, who was driving a 2002 Freightliner eastward on Hall Lane, stopped at a stop sign at Hall Laneâs intersection with Hanover Road, police said.
The truck then made a right turn to travel southward on Hanover Road, but collided with motorist Graeme Gorman, 30, of 36 Echo Valley Road, who was driving a 1991 Plymouth Colt southward on Hanover Road, police said. There were no injuries.
Police said McGuire told them that he did not see the Plymouth approaching the intersection.
Police issued McGuire a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
Gasoline Larceny
Police report they were informed that a woman had pumped more than nine gallons of gasoline, which is worth more than $21, into an automobile at the Citgo gas station at 151 South Main Street, but did not pay for it and then drove off about noon on December 11.
Police said they located a vehicle matching a description of the vehicle at the gas station and stopped it to investigate. Police charged motorist Christen Cali, 25, of Monroe with sixth degree larceny. Police released her on $100 bail for a December 23 court appearance.
